About Sattva
Description
In Sanskrit, “Sattva” means purity, harmony, and light, the quality of balance that brings stillness to being. Sattva is the essence of purity, the silent light that arises when body, breath, and environment exist in harmony. To light incense is to invite that harmony,to cleanse the air, still the senses, and awaken subtle energy.
traditionally incense sticks are lite as an Offering during prayers: Lighting incense is a common way to honour and connect with the divine. The rising smoke is symbolic of prayers and offerings ascending to the gods. Also used during ritual purification: It is used in almost all Hindu rituals to cleanse and purify the space where ceremonies take place and during meditation, the aroma helps create a spiritual and meditative environment for spiritual meditation or religious practices. This ritual dates back thousands of years to the Vedic practice of dhupa, the sacred offering of fragrant smoke to the divine.
Each Sattva fragrance serves a purpose:
- Rose — softens the heart and opens emotion.
- Lavender — soothes the mind and invites rest.
- Nag Champa — grounds energy for meditation.
- Sandalwood — purifies and deepens spiritual focus.
- Oud — awakens introspection and mystery.
Together, they embody the five pathways to balance, serenity, devotion, grounding, clarity, and depth.
How to Use
Light the tip of the incense stick until a small ember forms. Gently blow out the flame and allow the smoke to rise. Place in a holder on a heat-safe surface.
Use during meditation, quiet mornings, or before rest. As the smoke moves, let it guide your attention back to breathe steadily, aware, at ease.
Clean the ashes after use.
