Samsara is a melange of heavenly scents ensnared in the golden fort. Rich notes from the past intertwined in ancestral roots untapping an eternal tale of scents. Fragrances that crossed paths on the ancient Silk Road, captivating aromas that spiced the traveler’s tales. Gold thread dipped in rich orange clove oil and embroidered with patterns of legendary Rajputana’s velvet drapes encrusted in zardosi. Merchants crossed the Dhar deserts, leaving behind a delicate fragrance of Japanese ikebana frangipani, traded for warm cinnamon, crème coconut and cardamom. Milky notes of vanillin with gold amber, trails a royal heritage. Jaisalmer-jewelled Moguls shared rich saffron tea, with the English, who gifted rolls of cotton cloth patterned with wisteria.

Description
Jaisalmer Fort, Jaisalmer: Chattris dimly lit in the far distance, like a silk brocade laced over the Haveli, scintillating with gold ornate and intricate design, as if the Rajputana opulence were coming to life. I sipped my creamy tea and listned to the silk merchant tells a tale of fragrances that crossed paths on the ancient Silk Road. Exotic traders walking down this path. A pulsating melody filled the atmosphere, as a local plucked Morchang that echoed complex rhythmic patterns of sound. The Banjari women danced the ghoomar in sync with the music, spanning their lenghas, which were embroidered with rich zari patterns, vibrant colours, adorned with beads and sequins that elegantly twinkled on an ocean of sand. An old merchant continued his tale of the Silk Road. He induced a timeless feeling as though the past were present with me.
Fragrance has a very profound power in my life. They conjure up nostalgic moments; moments of love and joy. Simple fragrances evoke a sublime association with my memories. Each Ahloki candle is formulated to rekindle aromas harboring in places that mark my life experiences. They encompass my life and the quintessence journey to my soul. Ingredients
Hand-poured in Bristol’s green countryside. Ahloki’s candles are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Free from beeswax, palm oil and paraffin-derived ingredients. Our wax is made from rapeseed oil combined with soy wax. This blend is what makes the candle burn efficiently and effectively. Blended with the finest quality of pure essential oils and safe synthetic ingredients, made in small batches, hand-poured in England. We follow rigorous product sustainability standards, ethical sourcing & good manufacturing practices. We use a lead-free cotton wick in all our candles.
Ahloki uses 100% natural sustainable plant waxes with no parabens, no sulfates, no phthalates, no formaldehydes, no known or suspected endocrine disruptors, no additives, no dyes, and no preservatives. All our ingredients are covered by IFRA.
We cannot guarantee that our candles are nut-free.

Benefits & Care
Our sense of smell (or olfaction) is our most primitive sense, and one of the most powerful senses. It is the strongest sense that is intricately linked to memory. The sense of smell is the most important trigger of memory. Our olfactory bulb is part of the brain’s limbic system, which is in the same parts of our brain that affect emotion, memory recall and creativity. Fragrance has the ability to influence our brain, power to change our moods, enhance feelings of wellbeing by triggering the body to relax, escape to a happy place, recall happy moments and elevate the spirits. Through olfactory & aromatherapy, we want to encourage mindfulness & meditative living, being intensely aware of your “now” and attend to your feelings in the present moment. Our candles give you the gift of time.
The first time you light your Ahloki candle, please burn until the wax melts to an even pool that surrounds the edges of the glass jar. This will help keep the top of the wax smooth, preventing an uneven burn. Keep the wick trimmed to a quarter of an inch before each burn, as this will help prevent any smoking and will keep any residue from dropping into the wax. Do not burn your candle for more than four hours at a time.
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep your candle out of the reach of children and animals. Keep candle away from draught. Always keep your candle away from anything that could be a fire hazard. Always trim the wick or clean the wax once the candle has gone cold. Keep lit candles at least 3 inches apart and place them on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not move a burning candle. Always store the candle in an upright position away from direct sunlight or heat.
