Description
The practice of smudging dates back thousands of years and mirrors the Hindu ritual of dhupa, the burning of fragrant herbs or resins to purify space, mind, and spirit. Rosemary, native to the Mediterranean, has been used since ancient times for remembrance, healing, and protection. Its essence is considered sattvic in Ayurvedic philosophy, promoting purity, balance, and awareness.
When used with intention, rosemary smudging can help to:

How to Use
Light the tip of your smudge stick until it begins to smoke, then gently blow out the flame.
Allow the smoke to rise and move naturally through your space, guiding it with mindful intention. You may accompany this ritual with a mantra or simple breath meditation.
For cleansing: move clockwise through the space, inviting new energy as old energy clears.
For meditation: let the smoke flow nearby, using the scent as an anchor for calm.
