I had never heard the birds sing so loudly or smelt flowers that were so intense, fragrances dancing out to nature’s musical ensemble. My soul was engulfed with an overwhelming sense of peace. I felt the elegance of femininity, happiness of fertility and spirit of life. My roots held firmly in the soil, the blood of history trapped in the railway line. Anansuri intertwines aromas of cultures brought together to build the East African railway line snaking towards the Indian Ocean. Fragrance has a very profound power in my life. They conjure up nostalgic moments; moments of love and joy. Simple fragrances evoke a sublime association with my memories. Ingredients
Hand-poured in Bristol’s green countryside. Ahloki’s candles are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Free from beeswax, palm oil and paraffin-derived ingredients. Our wax is made from rapeseed oil combined with soy wax. This blend is what makes the candle burn efficiently and effectively. Blended with the finest quality of pure essential oils and safe synthetic ingredients, made in small batches, hand-poured in England. We follow rigorous product sustainability standards, ethical sourcing & good manufacturing practices. We use a lead-free cotton wick in all our candles.
Ahloki uses 100% natural sustainable plant waxes with no parabens, no sulfates, no phthalates, no formaldehydes, no known or suspected endocrine disruptors, no additives, no dyes, and no preservatives. All our ingredients are covered by IFRA.

Our sense of smell (or olfaction) is our most primitive sense, and one of the most powerful senses. It is the strongest sense that is intricately linked to memory. The sense of smell is the most important trigger of memory. Our olfactory bulb is part of the brain’s limbic system, which is in the same parts of our brain that affect emotion, memory recall and creativity. Fragrance has the ability to influence our brain, power to change our moods, enhance feelings of wellbeing by triggering the body to relax, escape to a happy place, recall happy moments and elevate the spirits. Through olfactory & aromatherapy, we want to encourage mindfulness & meditative living, being intensely aware of your “now” and attend to your feelings in the present moment. Our candles give you the gift of time.
The first time you light your Ahloki candle, please burn until the wax melts to an even pool that surrounds the edges of the glass jar. This will help keep the top of the wax smooth, preventing an uneven burn. Keep the wick trimmed to a quarter of an inch before each burn, as this will help prevent any smoking and will keep any residue from dropping into the wax. Do not burn your candle for more than four hours at a time.
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep your candle out of the reach of children and animals. Keep candle away from draught. Always keep your candle away from anything that could be a fire hazard. Always trim the wick or clean the wax once the candle has gone cold. Keep lit candles at least 3 inches apart and place them on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not move a burning candle. Always store the candle in an upright position away from direct sunlight or heat.
HOW TO USE YOUR MASSAGE CANDLE: Check for any allergies before use. Please read the ingredients to make sure you are not allergic to any. This can be found on the box of the candle or our website. Light your Ahloki candle for about 15—20 minutes and let it burn evenly to create a liquid pool. When you see about a 1 cm pool of wax all around you can begin to use it. Before applying, test a little oil on a small area of your skin to ensure there are no allergic reactions. Blow the flame out before using the massage oil. Please keep away from children.
Enjoy, relax and unwind Wait for the temperature of the oil to cool down. When it feels warm to the touch, begin massaging into the skin using gentle circular movements. You can pour the jar slowly on to the massage area, dip your fingers in it or use a soft massage cloth. Our oil can also use as a body moisturizer or a nourishing bath balm. Relax and unwind with Ahloki’s gentle aromas, butter-soft moisturizing oils. Your candle hardens up, simply light your candle up again and repeat the above. After use, make sure you clean the candle jar to ensure there will be no dried-up wax around the jar. Keep away safely. Do not use on children.
