Did you know you can make your very own solid perfume? Making your own body fragrances gives you the first degree of freedom and control on ingredient choices and scent profiles. They are perfect for people who are eco-conscious and prefer to use natural ingredients. Solid-state means less spillage and additional moisturising benefits. A simple recipe I use is:

• 1 tbsp carrier oils (sweet almond, olive or jojoba oil)
• 2 tbsp coconut, soy wax or carnauba oil.
• 5 drops of vitamin E oil or shea / cocoa butter (optional)
• 20-50 drops of your favourite essentials oil blends.

Very slowly melt the wax. Add in carrier oil + vitamin E oil and gently mix, add in essential oils and take it off the heat. Do not leave it on the heat (heating causes the essential oils to evaporate). Pour in a container and let it set for few hours till it solidifies!

Yes it’s that simple! 💖

Gourmand fragrances like oaty-vanilla notes (Ahloki’s, Pralinette or Kamatura) blend very well with spicy or woody notes like Fahari.

The trick is to start of with lighter fragrances and build up as you try layering with other candle scents. There is no right or wrong to the method!
